We are proud to announce that WANEP-The Gambia has won the “Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention Champion Award 2026”, organized by The Association of Non-Governmental Organizations (TANGO) in collaboration with United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
The 2026 Edition, held at the prestigious Sir Dawda Kairaba Jawara International Conference Center, brought together civil society actors, representatives of the Government of The Gambia, and international partners in a powerful celebration of collective efforts toward sustainable peace and national development.
This recognition affirms WANEP-The Gambia’s unwavering commitment to conflict prevention, early warning, inclusive dialogue, and democratic governance. It strengthens our resolve to continue working with communities, institutions, and partners to build a peaceful and resilient nation.
We seize this opportunity to sincerely thank the Government of The Gambia, UN Agencies, the European Union, ECOWAS, WANEP Regional and our dedicated colleagues across civil society for their collaboration and trust.
