WANEP–The Gambia has officially kicked off a three-day Capacity Building Training for Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) on peacebuilding and the prevention of conflict and violent extremism.
The RECAP Project, with support from the European Union, through the WANEP Regional Office, the training brings together 25 Civil Society Organizations across The Gambia. The programme focuses on strengthening participants’ skills in conflict analysis, conflict mapping in Kanifing Municipality, Banjul, and the West Coast Region, early warning and early response mechanisms, as well as conflict transformation approaches.
This initiative aims to enhance the role of CSOs in promoting peaceful coexistence, preventing violent conflict, and strengthening community-based peacebuilding efforts across the country.
