WANEP-The Gambia has successfully concluded a two-day validation workshop for the key deliverables of the Electoral Violence Monitoring, Analysis and Mitigation (E-MAM) Project.
The workshop brought together a diverse group of stakeholders from electoral management, security institutions, government agencies, civil society, the media and development partners to review and validate four critical tools: the Electoral Hotspot Mapping, Internal Risk Factor Assessment, Stakeholder Matrix, and Electoral Violence Monitoring Indicators.
These validated tools are essential for strengthening electoral preparedness and enhancing our collective ability to identify potential risks early, facilitate timely and coordinated responses, and support evidence-based decision-making by electoral, security, governance, and peacebuilding actors. Their validation represents more than a technical milestone—it is a significant contribution to safeguarding peace, stability, and democratic participation in The Gambia as the country prepares for elections.
