Happening Now! | Strengthening Inter-Party Dialogue for Peace and Stability
The West Africa Network for Peacebuilding (WANEP-The Gambia), with funding from the European Union (EU), is currently launching and supporting the establishment of an Inter-Party Group (IPG) on Conflict Analysis, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and Preventive Diplomacy in The Gambia.
The initiative seeks to strengthen inter-party dialogue, conflict prevention and peaceful dispute resolution, while providing political parties with a platform to collectively identify emerging risks, address electoral and political disputes through non-violent means, and promote preventive diplomacy.
Through the IPG, WANEP-The Gambia aims to contribute to democratic stability, social cohesion and sustainable peace in The Gambia, particularly as the country prepares for the 2026 elections. Our appreciation to European Union in The Gambia for the support.
