WANEP-The Gambia successfully convened a Regional Working Group session focused on the Pre-Election Context in The Gambia: Challenges and Prospects, bringing together key stakeholders and partner institutions ahead of the upcoming elections. The briefing centered on three key objectives:
Analysing the pre-election context in The Gambia — identifying the challenges and prospects shaping the electoral landscape.
Discussing gaps and lessons learnt from the E-MAM project interventions so far, to strengthen ongoing peacebuilding and election support efforts.
Providing updates on election-related projects and activities being implemented by partner institutions, fostering better coordination and information sharing.This engagement reaffirms WANEP-The Gambia’s commitment to promoting peaceful, credible, and transparent elections through early warning, collaboration, and evidence-based dialogue among stakeholders.
