A Proud Moment for WANEP-The Gambia!
We are honored to announce that WANEP-The Gambia has been appointed by the Government of The Gambia to serve on the Governing Board of the National Early Warning and Response Mechanism Coordinating Centre (NCCRM), representing civil society organizations in the country. This appointment follows the official inauguration of the NCCRM Board by His Excellency the Vice President at State House.
WANEP-The Gambia warmly welcomes this development and assures the NCCRM of our continued support and collaboration as we work together to strengthen peace, reconciliation, and mediation efforts nationwide. This recognition reflects WANEP’s over 25 years of dedicated work in sustaining peace in The Gambia, particularly through our robust early warning and early response systems that have helped prevent and mitigate conflict across communities. We remain committed to working with the NCCRM and all stakeholders to build a more peaceful, cohesive, and resilient Gambia.
